One of my absolute favorite breakfast options. Fast, easy, and flavorful!
- 1 slice toasted ezekiel bread
- 1/2 mashed avocado
- A handful of grape tomatoes, halved
- Oregano and chili pepper flakes, to taste
Toast Ezekiel bread on a heated pan or using a toaster. I love Ezekiel bread, or any sprouted grain bread, because the sprouted grains really help the body to absorb the nutrients that are available to the body in whole grain. Sprouted grains also aid in digestion, and help to mitigate the uncomfortable over-filled feeling that we sometimes experience after eating breads.
Slice an avocado down the middle, around the seed, and scoop out the inside. Mash and spread on the toasted bread. Throw the tomatoes on top, and season with oregano and chili pepper flakes!
Pair with a bowl of fruit or smoothie for a fast and easy breakfast that will keep you full and energized until lunch.
